SCANNING | Drum or Flatbed
Drum scanning provides the highest quality image than any other scanning process and creates digital files used in the production of magazines, brochures, limited edition reproductions. The process uses photo multipliers, (converts colour spectrum to electrical current), with aid of fiber optics for the sharpest possible reproduction. Extensively used for 35mm and 2.25" transparencies, where enlargements range from 1000% to 3000%. Excellent results with professional photography images and Limited edition Art Reproductions.
Flatbed scanning is very versatile in its capabilities, the original image may be up to 36" in width by almost any length (36" x 168" has been scanned). This process will also allow up to 1/4" thickness to be scanned. Various types of images have been scanned, examples are: architectural drawings, artist original paintings, newspapers, contracts, books, photo collage, schematics, electrical/plumbing plans and more.
